Welcome to the Alumni Association

This is the Rivers State University Alumni Association. It is located at No.3 Convocation Arena Road Rivers State University Campus. 

The Alumni comprises of all graduates of B.Sc., PGD, M.Sc./M.Ed/MBA and Ph.D. programme of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology Nkpolu-Oroworukwo now Rivers State University Nkpolu-Oroworukwo Port Harcourt. 

Being an Alumnus of RSU, we are stakeholders of the University and partners in progress.  An Alumnus of RSU is called a “Great Whale”.

NRC- This comprises of Board of Trustees (BOT), NEC Members, Chairman, Vice Chairman and Secretary of all State Branches. 

ACHIEVEMENT OF THE ALUMNI

    • Construction of the Alumni National Secretariat at No.3 Convocation Arena Road RSU.  
    • Reconstruction and facelift of the RSU main gate and construction of a pedestrian walk way. Provision of adequate convenience at the security office furnished with Air conditioner. 
    • Rehabilitation of the NDDC water project
    • Procurement of Hydro power plant in the University Medical Health Care  Centre 
    • Erecting of Road signs and bill boards at strategic areas of the University. 
    • Covid 19 Awareness Campaign. Provisions of free Face shield to Dignitaries during convocation. Provisions of free hand sanitizers to Faculties and Institutes of the University. Provisions of Face shield to 40 years Anniversary sub committee. 
    • Donation of ICT Equipment to the Post Graduate School.
    • Construction of Modern Bus Stops at two Strategic locations (Post Graduate School and Faculty of Engineering) in the University. 
    • Provisions and installation of ceiling fans in all the rooms of Hostel D.
    • Hosted the ever first All Niger Delta Universities Alumni Football Tournament. 
    • Provisions and installations of CCTV Camera in the Post Graduate School.
    • Newly constructed Alumni Guest House.
    • The 100 Rooms Alumni Hostel Project in view
    • Hosting of the Non Elective Convention at Bayelsa 2022.

This is the Current Council Representative of the RSU Alumni Association National Body. LADY BEREZI PEREKEBINA KIMIA, she was being handed over to by her predecessor Prof. Gladson N. Nwokah.

CROWN PRINCE DR. PST. ANYANATE KIO

This is the Current and 10th RSU Alumni Association National President. CROWN PRINCE DR. PST. ANYANATE KIO. He came into office in February 2020 after being handed over to by his Predecessor Elder Amb. Isreal O. Egbunefu.

Duties And Responsibilities Of The Alumni Association

The Responsibilities as a Body: Include
  • The general responsibility of the Alumni is to give back to our Alma Mater(RSU)
  • To uphold and promote the philosophy and ideas of the University (RSU).
  • To Foster harmonious and purposeful relationships with the University authorities and Alumni Association. 
  • To partner/assist the University in terms of infrastructure development.
